The Story Behind Löytöi
Even in today's employer-friendly market, finding the right talent remains surprisingly challenging. While companies are flooded with applications, this abundance creates an illusion of choice. What's with the name?
If you're wondering about the name (and how to pronounce it!), Löytöi is my little wordplay with Finnish. It combines 'löydä' (find) and 'töitä' (work), creating something that sounds like 'löytyi' (being found). Pretty fitting for a platform that helps great people and great companies find each other through trusted professional connections, right?
Why is it needed?
Here's the thing - after years in talent acquisition, I kept seeing the same pattern: companies are drowning in applications (thanks, AI!), while the really great candidates are often hidden in professional networks, not scanning job boards.
Most companies already know this. That's why they have internal referral programs. But here's what I realized - why limit these programs to just your own employees? What if we could extend this trust-based approach to include all the amazing recruiters and professionals with valuable networks they've built over years?
…And the solution is pretty straightforward: companies post their roles and set a success fee, professional recruiters and other experts recommend candidates they genuinely believe in, and everyone wins when there's a match. No upfront costs, no complexity - just trusted introductions and fair rewards for successful hires.
